People join a club for enjoyment not to be verbally abused & berated, the committee needs to have a good look at itself, clubs do not have owners, they should be run by members not by cranky old ill tempered members of a purple circle. Since its prime the membership of this club has declined from a peak of more than 125 - 130 members in the early 1980s to less than 20 in 2012, (I have been told it was as low as 8 in 2008) it regained some new members to reach 64 in 2014 to 2015 however due directly to its owners" went into decline. Due to the unwelcoming nature of its "owners" a breakaway group successfully formed their own new & more welcoming club nearby in Kelmscott

we did the beginners course on saturday afternoons, got the bug.me and my partner got gear and joined the club.we found the instructors and members could not be more friendly and welcoming.Ray especially helped us to make sure we brought the right sort of equipmentwould recommend this to anyone looking for something different, bring and smiling and an attitude to learn and you wont be dissapointed
